Loads of English players die, like, you know, whatever.
It's a stereotype.
But the hand of God plays into the kind of stereotypical contrasts of the kind of identities there as well.
It's also the ball that was put in the net for the other goal, right?
We shouldn't have stood because there was a foul in the build-up.
Yes.
manager managing England like he's a great example of being able to detach from rivalries and just kind of manage a group of people who with respect and kind of ignoring the the kind of trivial nature of those rivalries and I think you know it's a young England squad it is quite a one-sided feeling I mean it goes both ways the rivalry but like Jack says the Argentina players definitely feel it more intensely hence the song that Laura mentioned earlier
So I think England players won't be that.
There's less danger of them being over-motivated, like Jack says, and kind of playing the occasion, not the game.
So if anyone was going to get sent off, I'd be predicting maybe a Christian Romero, a Leandro Paredes, more so than a Declan Rice or a Mark Gaty.
But we've seen like the game in Mexico City.
Yeah.
That brought out the best in England in a way like extra fight.
It wasn't the best performance.
I don't think any of the performances have been particularly good.
But England have found ways of getting over the line in difficult circumstances.
Yeah.
So like you say, the atmosphere is going to be similar with a bit more animosity than Mexico.
So yeah, they're very capable of managing the atmosphere without overspilling their own emotions, you'd hope.
It reminds me of when we played Germany in the Euros in 2021.
