try to burst the mythology that has been set up around this music, which is, you know

White supremacist and nationalistic, you know, and it's very clear that these narratives are there to do damage.

So I'm always trying to

try to correct that.

I'm not interested in it from my own

you know, my own gain, not interested.

I really am there to tell the story.

And that's what I did over and over and over again when Cowboy Carter came out.

So it gave me that opportunity to have that platform.

Myself, I you know, I maybe I gained a few more followers or whatever.

And and also cache.

I got cachet in the black community for that.

That to me was priceless.
