But they need a playoff win.

And I'm not going to say that's their ceiling, but that's kind of the expectation.

That's the bare minimum here this season.

They've got to find a way to get into the playoffs and not have an unceremonious bouncing on a Saturday night and be like, well, at least we were a double-digit win team.

That's just not going to cut it as they continue forward.

And look, I'm glad you focused on Mike McDaniel.

I think that was a great hire.

You know, one team scrap heaps a head coach, another team gets way better in a very important and potentially deficient category in terms of who's orchestrating the offense.

I think they need to do a better job protecting Herbert.

That's task one this offseason.

Getting better up front, staying healthy up front would be insanely helpful.

Fundamentally, on the ground, they need to have a more consistent run game.

The best way to support a Justin Herbert in a Mike McDaniel or a Jim Harbaugh offense is having a ground game that threatens you to draw the defense nearer to the line of scrimmage.

This way, he can create more explosives downfield.

And that's what they were really lacking.
