Seems to me that if Gus was a worthy line of police inquiry at the time.
At the very least, it's something that should have been put on the table in that inquest.
It feels like an oversight.
So I've just spent an hour or more at doing a bit of work at the cafe uh near the police station in Lismore.
After a few people told me that was where some of the detectives go to get their morning coffee and I was hoping to bump into Dave Mackey, the detective who
Has been involved with the Simone Strobel investigation since two thousand and five and who
Arrested and charged to bias with her murder in two.

this podcast, um, 'cause he's a pretty emp important person in the story.
No luck, he wasn't there.
Really wanted to
Have the opportunity to have his say, and I have some questions that I need to ask him about certain decisions that were made during the investigation.
In terms of who to look at, uh, which suspects to put the most heat on.
I try going to the police station to talk to Detective Mackie as well, with no luck.
I'll have to try to contact him again after I leave Lismore.
So I keep looking into the other people who allegedly confessed to killing Simone.
The next two are actually brothers, Alan and Thomas Green.
Now I'm gonna go for a drive in Lismore.
I am driving.
