I've now tracked down or exhausted my leads on three of the four men who were seen in the area on the night and allegedly said they were involved.
So far, I haven't had much luck getting any of these men to talk to me.
I guess that's not really surprising if they're worried about having the finger pointed at them.
There's still one man I'm yet to try and speak with.
His name is Jamie Vidlar.
Of all the men who were reported to have made confessions, I find the story around Jamie Vidler the most disturbing.
Two days before Simone went missing from the caravan park, Jamie was arrested in Lismore's CBD after two women reported him and another man to police, saying they'd been stalking them.
The women sought refuge in a cafe, while Jamie, shirtless and seemingly drunk,
Waited outside with the other man.
Jamie was already on bail at this point in relation to another incident.
And police charged him for breaching his bail conditions.
He actually had a criminal record stretching back to 1996, including a decent stint in jail for a violent attack on a man outside a pub.
But after the stalking report and the breach of bail arrest,
He was allowed to return to his tent at the Lismore Tourist Caravan Park.
He was living there at the time Simone was killed.
Remember Heath?
The guy who was saying the caravan park was a dodgy place.
He'd been seeing Jamie around the park in the days before Simone went missing.
The day after police found Simone's body,
Heath saw Jamie sitting with a few of the other park dwellers.
