Um, but like all of us, none of us are ever truly um cured.
And in talking to a few people in the Southwest community, I realized this wasn't like unique to me.
This was very common.
People I thought were incredible people I look up to in the industry were saying, Yeah, I have these self-doubts.
I don't feel I'm good enough.
I worry about these things.
Uh, my marriage has failed, all sorts of things uh coming up, but things then previously they hadn't.
felt comfortable talking about because we all put this brave face on as men and we don't talk about that stuff and we don't feel comfortable.
So BeerForce UK or Beerforce.uk, if you want to go to the website, uh is a the men's mental health support group.
And um we're getting together in bars, restaurants, cafes.
Beer is really just more of a representation of well, we're men beat the chest, hairy men, whatever.
It's not only for men, it's for anyone that wants to come along and either support or focus on mental health.
But the focus I'm having is around men because we don't talk about it enough.
We we bottle things up.

So um I also think the IT industry has a lot to blame for this as well.
I think Agile especially has a lot to blame, continuous sprints, continuous delivery.
Uh when it's not done well, and I'm a huge advocate of DevOps and Dora.dev, if it's done well, the outcomes are happier teams.
