I think everyone needs a mentor in their life at every stage.
He wanted the facts, did he?
He wanted the reference?
He sounds like an Elon Musk.
Elon Musk assumes nothing.
You have to give facts for everything.
All right.
The thing that I find simplest about leadership is the most important, two important things, and I'm repeating John Howard here.
He said the most important thing in leadership is your values.
That'll determine how you think, act, and communicate.
If you have the wrong values or if you don't have any values- Or if you don't know what they are, if you haven't articulated- We've had many prime ministers that haven't lasted long in the last 15 years because you don't know what their values are and they change.
They're unpredictable.
You can't trust them, right?
And because of that, and the second rule for a leader was to keep those you lead really tight.
Keep those ones you immediately manage like-
as though they're dying a ditch for you, right?
