This family had been struggling uh to have a baby.

They finally had the the the baby, but in this

extraordinary circumstance underground, four and a half years under the uh uh on this into this war, and I think it was a little bit of a microcosm of the Ukrainian spirit, of how people are living, what it's like to try and have something a s a semblance of a normal life, uh, when there's the the not just the constant threat of Russian attacks, but there are constant Russian attacks.

The air raid sirens were going on outside.

So he's uh a soldier.

Uh he works in air defense.

Uh so he'll go back to his his job.

Uh he may not necessarily be right in one of the frontline bunkers, uh, but there aren't really clear defined front lines in this conflict.

You can be bombed in Kyiv.

Ukraine is facing right now a uh serious crisis of uh a shortage of Patriot missile interface.

Interceptors and Russia is exploiting that.

Russia certainly knows that there there aren't enough Patriots, so that's why Russia is firing at the moment with impunity big ballistic missiles at Kyiv and they're getting through.

So I've had some pretty I had some pretty philosophical conversations with uh with several pregnant women.

And I asked that very question.

I said, You're here.

There was one woman uh nine months pregnant, already past due, sh sh ready to for the baby to arrive at at any moment.

She too was gonna give birth down down below in the bomb shelter.

And I asked her, I said, Well are you worried about the world that you're bringing this baby into?
