It was not staged in the Middle East at that point and had to wait several weeks for assets to move into theater to be ready to do something bigger.
Obviously, we will be more naked in the Indo-Pacific at this point.
And if there is crisis there, we will not have the assets available there.
So we are going to have to think about that.
Now, the other hand, of course, as we think about flashpoints with China in the future and the trade-offs,
China has long depended on oil coming out of the Strait of Hormuz.
50% of its oil imports come through the Strait of Hormuz.
They obviously have built up a massive strategic petroleum reserve off the back
of cheap illicit both Iranian, Russian and Venezuelan oil in recent years.
And it's a very large reserve.
But they are using that reserve right now.
Understand that they have cracked down on fuel exports.
They are keeping everything inside the country.
They are tapping into their reserves.
That has a clock on it as well.
It also has a long-term impact on their reserve capability for their own planning for future conflicts.
All of these pieces fit together in Grand Strategy.
It's about trade-offs, it's about resources, it's about logistics.
In the immediate term, I actually think we can keep up the blockade and do some maritime operations to look at whether or not we can reopen this trade on our own, especially if we're going to keep three CSGs on station.
