If you think about the fact that nobody can get LNG out of Qatar, everybody's coming into the United States, and you think about oil markets being realigned, not just on the spot market, but potentially long-term contracts as well, we are at the max, exceeding in some places what we thought was capacity for production in certain parts of the country.
So there is that sort of worst case scenario, right?
You immediately pivot into that and you show this regime, who cares?
Fine, go, congratulations.
We can go to a stalemate in the strait.
You will lose that over time.
And by the way, the blockade is going to destroy you well before it bothers us in a major crisis type of way.
And we're working on amelioration the kind of ways you can't.
You have no money.
You're collapsing, etc.
It is also possible that based on whatever intelligence assessment we come up with during the ceasefire, that there are, in fact, military solutions to further weaken them and really cripple them.
Now, the flip side of that is you go after some of their key industrial targets.
You go after the refineries.
You go after the power plants, etc., the way that the president was talking about.
and they retain the ability to retaliate, they're going to do that around the Gulf potentially.
And so that will lead to much higher gas prices, much higher oil prices.
That doesn't seem like the right, to me, route to go.
If you hold the cards on the blockade and on the economic side, double down on that.
Look for every single lever you haven't pulled there.
