So let me say two quick things.
Joe Biden lost the debate at the very beginning when he said, we finally beat Medicare.
And then remember the look on his face?
It's like, fuck, I just blew this whole debate, right?
And one last thing I want to say, what I learned in law school, because we're trained to be advocates, he says, the teacher said, the law or the truth is that which is forcefully and powerfully asserted
and plausibly maintained.
That's what Donald Trump did with bullshit for 90 minutes.
And Joe Biden didn't do that once.
Yeah.
I got two texts from very, very smart political people I know, and they both believe that we need to find another candidate before the convention or at the convention.
I honestly, and I love Joe Biden.
I think he's been a spectacular president.
He's been surprisingly progressive.
He really has grown.
I think he's solved so many issues and problems that our country has faced.
I just don't think that we can be comfortable sleeping between now and November 5th if he is our candidate.
Who is going to be the first Democrat to say that, Richard?
I'm hoping, Don, that there will be a Barry Goldwater 1974 moment where the elders in the Democratic Party go to the White House.
They sit down with him in the Oval Office and they say, Joe, we love you.
