When you go through so at the combating terrorism center at West Point, they have about two and a half million pages worth of captured documents from Al Qaeda.
Uh and
Those have been translated into English mainly by the US Army or by US other government.
And uh the FBI separately translated the notebooks left behind in the rental cars of the hijackers.
They drove rental cars to the airports where they launched the hijackers.
Um
And so two things come from that.
One is they thought that the World Trade Center was literally the center of world trade.
They thought if they blew it up, all global trade would come to a stop.
It never occurred to them that property developers
created a marketing name, World Trade Center.
And in fact, there are other World Trade Centers in the United States, right?
Um and it's it's kind of those things that's about as meaningful as the term international airport, right?
The the small town airports in the US that have one flight a week to Canada, but it's an international airport, right?
Um and they also another thing that comes of this is people say, Oh, they they were making a political statement, but the captured notebooks tell us they really didn't know that much about us.
