conjures up the idea of the vampire, and Mary comes up with Dr. Frankenstein and the creature that he creates from body parts.

And so she begins immediately the next day, she begins to write the story up in draft form.

Those early drafts don't survive.

But sometime later, I think it's probably only days later, she goes into Geneva and buys a blank notebook.

And that is what we now have.

And that blank notebook has a Geneva paper mill watermark on it.

So it's not something that's written much later.

It's quite close to the events that follow Geneva.

Extraordinary.

At some point that became disbound.

So what we now have is a stack of leaves.

Yeah, I think this was quite a good quality notebook.

The paper is actually really nice quality paper.

I wonder whether it got torn apart in order to create the fair copy.

So the notebook, she clearly writes in her own hands.

So she writes it off in a very neat way.
