Easy.
The feelings were difficult.
It was scary to be losing control of the ego, to of who I was, of letting go and letting feelings well up in me.
And I resisted it a lot.
I wouldn't say that my first LSD experience was this profound mystical experience of connection, but it was this struggle between rational control and the emergence of these very powerful emotions.
And it made
made me realize that this was a way to get in touch with my feelings and that the LSD was helping build my capacity for emotions to flow through me.

And it's based on a belief that there's an upwelling from the psyche that has healing potential.
And that we see that in dreams, that we all have this emergence into consciousness of um sort of repressed fears or anxieties or or even just positive memories.
That there was an inner healing mechanism.

To support what's emerging.
And because it's an eight-hour session, we have the time and the patience for people to find their own ways.
Because what we find is at some point people need to address the trauma and address it by describing it, by recalling it, but then trying to transform the fearful emotions into ones of acceptance.
And then what MDMA does is it it reduces the fear response to a perceived emotional threat.
