But I remember thinking like, oh, this is cool because it's like what I like about guitar rock is,
And I know that it's pop, but it doesn't feel like lame and a sellout.
It had the right combination of factors.

And by the way, not to be maudlin about it and all due respect,

And that's a pretty intense year.
So where are you at in all this?

To at least be in the room with you, when my band was massive in 96, my mother was dying of cancer, and I was in this weird situation where I was touring and coming home to see my mom as she's withering away.
So I understand the emotion of it all because I lived it.
Life is very interesting, right?
It's always a mystery to me how these things kind of, you know, because that's what I said.
