What's the problem with that?
Look, Washington is full of guys in the Republican Party on the down low.
And I get that they feel like the culture of the GOP has a meaningful fraction of people who would not approve of it, who would ostracize them for it.
And
And, you know, to a degree, they're right.
But the down-low culture in the GOP is weirdly bigger than the culture of people who would punish them for being on the down-low.
Does that make sense?
Mm-hmm.
I mean, it's just so crazy.
It's so crazy how what they think is going to be the problem is not really the problem.
Yeah.
And I do say this a lot.
People inside the GOP who talk about being for freedom and for limited government and for individual rights, what part is it of the government to decide
who consenting adults can be with?
What part of it is the government's role to decide who consenting adults can marry other consenting adults?
It's a weird niche of the evangelical strain inside the Republican Party.
And I've never been able to figure it out my whole career because I was the guy that got yelled at by Rush Limbaugh back in... He found out that I wrote a memo back in the mid-2000s and in 2013 or something, he found out about it and blasted me on the air for like three days straight.
Oh, well.
And the memo said, you guys are idiotic on gay rights.
You're being stupid about gay marriage.
