For the future, its elected leaders chose vision over fear, preparation over postponement, and progress over paralysis.
Our children and grandchildren will not remember every debate held in these chambers.
They will remember the decisions that shaped the city they inherited.
Let's give them a city worthy of Fort Lauderdale's future.
