Um I came back in March of this year and spoke with you all to get some direction.

And at that time the direction provided was to get with the Parks and Recreation Beaches Advisory Board and get their input on the uh outdoor events impact matrix.

For a bit of background here, uh we approve events on a two prong basis here.

Uh administratively we can approve them through the city manager.

Uh if the event is f uh less than five hundred people, no exemptions like alcohol, off road closures, amplified music.

Uh those would be administratively approved.

Uh the second option of course is through city commission.

If though if there are

exemptions to be requested and there's an attendance over five hundred.

So currently the process stands now is that we uh have an application process where the application if it's submitted ninety days in advance, the applicant pays two hundred dollars.

And if it's less than ninety days there is a thousand dollar late fee.

And then of course there's city services that is tacked onto that.

Those are the only current fees that we have.

uh for outdoor events.

And then there's the five hundred dollar beach fee.

During the discussion that we had in March, there was some feedback from commission to provide a forward facing tool for our uh community, the residents and those who visit the barrier island and non barrier island, so that they can have an I uh uh a way to look at events in real time and also in the future to notice what kind of impacts those would be having.

And thanks to our IT team, we've worked with them.

And uh what you're viewing on your screen right now is the mobile version.

And we're working through some of the kinks in this and we anticipate this to be ready to go live at some point next month uh for use uh for the general public, which will be also attached to our uh event.
