you're over 40, man.

I think everything just starts hurting differently than when you were, you know, 21, 22 years old.

And I think time is catching up to him.

Obviously, he's a competitor who loves being out there and you still see the drive and the way he pitches with so much rage and stuff like that.

But I think at some point,

the body just doesn't respond well to you.

And it just seems like, you know, he's been battling that all season long.

And when you battle stuff like that, it's not easy to come back from it.

And I know he's a guy that, you know, as crazy as he is on the mound, I think he wants to be out there.

He wants to compete.

He wants to give the team a chance to win and all that good stuff.

I think he saw all the good that they were able to accomplish last season, which is why he wanted to come back specifically to the Toronto Blue Jays.

And obviously it hasn't worked out

for the team this season, but for him, I mean, yeah, at this point, it's just, hey, go out there, give the team a chance to win, give them a quality start, and just go from there.

Yeah, I think for him, what I've appreciated watching him this season so far, it's the evolution of Dylan Cease.

I think early on, he was still trying to figure out who he was as a pitcher.

And there's always been this thing behind him, like, can he do it?

Can he put it together?

And he's shown this season that he's...

putting it together and it's it's just the evolution of him you know from early on in the season when it was 100 pitches into five innings that he's like sitting there kind of puzzled like man i want to get deeper into the game be able to throw 100 120 but get through seven eight nine innings and now he's seeing um
