Every song that I've ever done for myself was specific for me.

It was a conversation that I needed to have.

When I write songs for other artists, it's very specific to where they at.

I don't write in a space of I should keep this.

When I started writing records, I was already in my mind outside of the realm of being an artist and performing.

it was a lot easier for me to let go of those songs because it never was that itch wasn't there for me.

And by the time it was, it was very particular.

I would do the song and it would be time to release the song.

So it was never a situation, and I write music every day.

So a lot of people, when they don't have that work ethic, I think they hold on and sit on records.

I'm not sitting on a record.

I do the song and I do another song and another song and another song and another song.

So I'm not even in there playing artist songs that I would do for me because I'm not one of those guys that play ... You know how you get in a studio of producers and they just sit down and play you everything they're working on?
