All right, I'll catch y'all next week.
There's a podcast I think a lot of you all will enjoy.
It's called Proxy and it comes from Yo-Wei Shaw, who you might know from Invisibilia.
Proxy starts with a simple idea.
No one is ever completely alone with their problem because somewhere out there is someone who gets it.
On the show, listeners bring Yo-Wei their emotional conundrums, the problems that make them feel alone.
Maybe because no one in their life can relate, or because the one person they need to talk to won't or can't.
So Yo-Wei does something unusual.
She goes looking for a proxy, a stranger who's lived something similar or has relevant experience, and brings them together for a conversation.
The cases can get pretty thorny.
Bandmates who can't finish their record, family estrangement.
But there are also these funny little weird problems, like the woman whose internal narrator never shuts up.
A good place to start is the episode Mike Chooses the Wrong Life, about a comedian stuck in a regret loop wondering if he should have become a doctor instead.
New episodes of Proxy return in mid-April.
Follow the show now so the first case from the season lands in your feed.
