What you hear a lot about is high levels of emotional intelligence, also called EQ.

Number one, like if you were gonna be successful as a leader.

So essentially, if you have high emotional intelligence.

You would nail it as a leader.

And emotional intelligence is being able to manage your emotions while also being able to read and respond well to other people's emotions.

I love that definition because it's nice and tight, right?

There's a lot we could go with this EQ, a lot of definitions.

There's things that make it up.

But we're gonna just keep it simple because this episode is not on EQ, it's on leadership.

So to put it in layman's terms, someone with high emotional intelligence can essentially read the room.
