So she kept pushing.
By nightfall, her legs felt like jello.
Her forearms screamed blue murder.
And her fists, which she could barely feel.
Might as well have become fused with the chair's push handles.
She had trouble breathing.
Every gulp of air felt like a hot ember in her throat.
She was thirsty, hungry, and badly had to use the facilities herself.
Only there were no facilities.
Just open road.
She considered just pissing herself as she walked, much like the old crone had done about three hours earlier.
