The most fun part of the day was running down the muddy roads with Maria, all while fantasizing about living in the big city.

I mean, everything that I have now is an unimaginable victory.

It was a hard and punitive practice for two poor girls, but again, we were very obedient.

So we came to the conclusion that

There was no more playing with our toys.

But at least we could still see each other and find other ways to have fun.

The routine itself never changed.

Woken up to the crowing of the rooster, eggs for breakfast, and coffee.

Helping Granny, however, was a sacred chore.
