So that's sort of I think the metaphysical way to show that there we we really don't have a non identity problem.

Um but I also think that if you look to Kantian theories or or con or contractualist theories, you can point to the specific person harmed, um not harmed, wronged by um

by procreative negligence because um if you look at uh

Because we're gonna set our standard of care uh consistent with

the ontology.

So we'll say what is the most kind of respectful, uh what is the the procreative principle we could have that respects people's as ends in themselves?

Would it be to say, Oh, anybody could bury waste sloppily?

I mean, why would we say that?

That's not what a principle we would want universalized because if we do that people might die before they could reproduce at all.

So it wouldn't be able to

uh persist or be universalizable and it also doesn't seem respectful of people as ends in themselves or projects to pursue.

So we would not set that as a procreative pr principle of of permissibility.

And so that any any and then anybody who did not abide by whatever principle we did set in a Kantian or or a contractualist way

would be wronging the fu th their child, whether their child uh specific

interests and or and well being are set back are you know, are set back or not.

That they're never impermissible.

Yes.

Could be c or almost never.

Because again, according to the non identity problem, if somebody is pred would predictably have a life not worth living, then it would be wrong to create them.

But I think part of what uh oh and I think it's it's interesting that because I I think that a lot of people don't pay attention to that part because I think Parf is kind of an I mean, he's an optimist and he's a happy guy.
