We do demonstrations with rubber duckies.
And one of the things that I made the point about is with look, with a rubber ducky, when you plug it into a Windows machine, PowerShell opens, exploites your data, and there's nothing you can do about it.
When you plug a rubber ducky into a Mac, you get about three or four different prompts basically saying, Hey, something is connected.
Do you want to allow it to connect?
Oh, it's a keyboard, what kind of a keyboard it is, and so on and so forth.
So there's layers of protection built into the operating system that just
Just don't exist on Windows.
That being said.
We did a webinar, and I think it's probably knocking around on YouTube somewhere, where basically they used a vulnerability in the Bluetooth stack on Mac OS and set up a reverse shell.
When I tried to connect a pair of headphones that they gave me, thinking it was a very nice gift, it was actually a trick to basically get connected to my Mac and set up a reverse shell and exfiltrate data that way.
So from that perspective,
Perspective, there are some instances and occasions where Mac OS is indeed not as secure as Windows.
That was a vulnerability, by the way, that Apple did accept and fixed without saying anything.
But all of that being said, I still maintain that Macs are more secure than Windows.
There are none so blind as those who will not see David.
In this one small little circumstance, he doesn't lie look, he's not a Mac guy.
