Maybe in a situation like this, he felt it was safer to kind of play it cool.
Can't tell if Chris is being honest here, or again, if he's just trying to downplay his bad decisions.
But either way, this time around, the meth completely knocks his socks off.
According to Chris, they hang at Kid and Twyla's for a while, not doing much of anything.
No one was violent, no one was arguing, it was just a handful of people talking shit and doing drugs.
The sun goes down and it's around 8.30 at night when Jack and Chris leave the Wandai house.
They head back to Fixed Crossing for the third time that day.
Much of what I've heard so far is in line with what I've been able to figure out myself.
But what happened next is something only Chris really knows about.
And that's what I want to dig into now.
They park up and Chris gets to work cleaning his car.
It's a weird habit of his, something he does when he's high.
Two other cars arrive and they pull up in another section of the picnic grounds.
Chris keeps cleaning his car and says he can understand if at this point Jack starts getting a bit bored.
At one point Chris remembers overhearing Jack talking to someone so he pulls his head out of the car and spots Jack down by the shed about 30 meters away.
Chris assumes Jack must be on the phone but to who Chris doesn't really know.
Maybe it's Carly, and that Jack was just trying to patch things up with her.
But I reckon it's also possible he could have been on the phone to his mum Kelly and his sister Sydney.
They've told me that they spoke to Jack around 9pm that night, but I can't actually say for sure.
Chris tells me that later during the night, Jack walked over to him, held up a little drug bag and asked, What should I do with this?
