I asked you about a lot of coaches.

Yeah, true.

But Babcock was so far out there in my eyes.

That wasn't even a consideration.

So I'm not going to change my – I said every time you asked me, I said no.

And I stay with that.

I would say no.

To me, the leadership group should be involved, whether it's Fabcock or LaViolette or Cassidy or whoever you might add.

I have been there.

I think as an organization, you want to have a fit amongst players.

what your GM sees, what your star players see, and what your coach sees.

So I think that having them involved, no matter who it is, is a good thing.

It doesn't change my opinion at all.

so to me um whatever happens happens i think the investigation is good for both sides for those that want padlock for those that don't because it'll clear up all the air and if he comes through this and everything's good he gets to be hired well then the others can say see we've got the right guy so to me um this investigation is welcome but it doesn't i mean i can't change

What I've said to you the last three weeks, because this is the new head coach probably of the Edmonton Oilers, I still would say no.

Why?

Why are you a no?

Well, I mean, to me, there's a lot of question marks.

I think there's more question marks with Babcock than any of the other coaches he would have brought in, whether it's Cassidy, LaViolette, Gerard Gallant, Patrick Waugh, Dean Everson.

And it goes, A, there's all the off-ice stuff.
