Because in the back of your mind, you know, okay, get in the shooting lane, yes, but I don't want to take one off the foot and hurt myself before the playoffs.

So you cheat a little bit.

But that team that every game means something, they're already in playoff mode, so they're already doing all the right things.

All the details are part of their game.

And we've seen with the Oilers as of late, their details defensively have been excellent.

And that's because the games have been so important.

So to me, yes, I agree with you, Booner.

The game on Thursday, as much as people would say, oh, we'd rather rest this guy, rest that guy, A, star players don't want to rest.

And B, you know what, let's just stay in that playoff mode.

Let's not allow any bad habits to creep into our game before the first playoff game a couple days later.

So, yeah, I'm 100% on board with that one.

I say let all of these games be important so there's no switch on or off.

You're continually going with the same type of detailed effort that you've had now for the Edmonton Oilers, really, for the last dozen or so games.

It's funny, and Munir will be able to agree.

I think we'll agree with this as well.

The players nowadays are completely different than my generation.

So if somebody missed 14 games before the playoffs...

it would probably be five games of playoffs before you found your game.

But the players are in such better shape now.

They look after themselves better.
