But when I'm leaving it to their own devices to get that across and find a good result...
What is the usual reaction of someone that gets, and when I say attacked, I say in inverted commas attacked, as in you don't pass me the ball.
Defensive.
Yeah, they'll get super defensive and it's like, well, you don't pass me and it gets to that point or they just shut down completely and they can't process it.
So there is a level of that too where emotions are going to be higher at the end of that season in particular.
So we have to find a way that's like, well, okay, is now the time where we start, and you should have probably done it earlier, but is now the time where we want to do a little bit of self-reflection?
It's like, hey, what do I need?
What could I do better?
What can I help someone else with?
So you can get a little bit of a pulse check of your group and it's like, well, okay, those answers can come to me.
Then I can go back to them with like, well, here's how I think you should address this.
So the kid that won't pass you the ball, I think you should go to them and ask these questions.
Hey, did you see me being the first one?
Because usually it's like, no, you're on the left-hand side and I had eyes for that right-hand sideline.
And that's perfectly understandable for junior kids.
That season, I don't think I did.
I bounce back and forth on whether I like the post game or not.
Because there's part of me that says I really do because at least I can put a lid on it.
And it's like, hey, something's happened.
And whether that something is a win or a loss or anything in between, something's happened.
