You need to get into your head and see food as fuel and respect it as fuel.
And there's a lot of learning in that.
You know, it's not something you can pick up easily.
You tend to have to study this stuff to find out what's good for you, what's not good for you.
I know there's some obvious things like sugars and all the rest of it.
But even now, my diet is high protein and I have to prioritise protein when I'm having a meal.
and vegetables in my plate, I have to eat the protein first because I'll fill up very quickly and the protein is so important.
So I'm looking now, finally, at 45 years of age, as food is fuel.
And I'm cognizant of everything that goes into my mouth.
It's an awful lot of learning, an awful lot of talking, and the aftercare is there as well.
It is a complete and utter life change.
And the other thing about the bariatric surgery is sometimes that in itself is judged.
Yet people can go and get breast augmentation and Botox and bum fillers and everything else for aesthetics.
Yet a surgery that's literally saving lives
