And just each little thing like this compounds it and players get better when they're not playing and all of a sudden a fifteen year old is getting better by not being involved.

Whatever age you are and you get the opportunity to prove that and if you can take the step up, you do that.
And if he's scoring goals at every level he's stepped up at and he's excelling at every level, well, he wants to go to the next level and keep going and keep going.
