The MLS only makes money because the brokers put listings into it.

However the MLS makes money, membership fees, data monetization, whatever it is, the MLS does not make any money

of any kind, it doesn't make a dollar unless the brokers put data in.

I guess I'm looking at it as cooperation means something different to me.

Okay.

And I've talked about it a million times.

Cooperation to me means I want to make sure that you come off like a really informed professional because you're going to help me come off as really informed professional.

This isn't quite that.

This is more like, I'm going to put data in because I'm going to get paid for it.

I suppose.

Okay.

How do I phrase this?

It's like you want your kids to study hard.

So you're going to say, if you study hard, I'll give you ice cream.

Are they a good student?

I'm not saying it's wrong, but I guess for me, cooperation is kind of like you're serious about school.

I'm just saying what I'm getting at is to me this is –

Essentially, there's a part of this where it's like the MLS of the industry is acknowledging that cooperation is dying, so we need to incentivize it with money.
