The threat of his shot just already opens up so much, even when he's not hitting it at some crazy rate that I would be surprised if he does not turn into one of the most flexible scorers in the league.
Like he just gets into the in-between stuff so easily and he's so comfortable there, which is unbelievable.
Honestly, not something you can say for a lot of prospects who come into the league like those the floater zone, the kind of mid range pull up stuff.
It's been deemphasized at so many developmental levels.
And Darren Peterson feels just locked in on those aspects of his particular game.
And so he makes a lot more sense to me as like a pure score than as any kind of playmaker.
I think the ability to play out of those advantages will manifest will come with time.
But he strikes me as the kind of star who, even when he's at his absolute best, is going to be like three, three and a half to four assists a game and not necessarily like the seven, six, seven assists per game.
And that's that's going to be OK if he turns into the kind of score he seems to be projecting as.
Yeah, I would love to see him become that kind of player, at least in spots.
It doesn't have to be all the time.
I think so much of Darren Peterson's career is going to come down to how he balances this stuff because he like right now he's already showing he can capitalize on so much of the easy stuff that just comes with being a good, talented, skilled player who is in a functional or even semi-functional offense.
Like he's just going to get free points by virtue of his talent in some of those situations.
And he's also showing that he can convert some of the hard stuff that you really can only rely on stars to do.
And if those things are always or consistently true, it's going to be a really high level player.
Which way he tilts is probably going to decide whether he ends up being like a year to year superstar or someone who's just kind of like on the fringes, really productive.
But you always wonder what could be if he kind of nailed everything down just so.
I forget who they were playing against, but for someone on the file on front, before we move on, who was not like privy to the step-by-step process that led to him becoming a sixer.
Like what the fuck happened?
Like how, how did he end up falling this much?
