But those are three guys for me who it's always like you can tell what a person thinks about the world based on what they think about Hawks Al Horford.
These days, it's a lot more like Pascal Siakam for me, or honestly, post Spurs series, Chet Holmgren falls into this category a little bit, too, of just like.
what you offer a team comprehensively and especially defense, like really what we're talking about is people who watch the sport through the lens of bucket getting versus people who watch the sport and look for some kind of value in defense.
We can argue about how much and whether we over-index on this or that, but like Chet Holmgren is still an all NBA level player, even if he can't create his own shot.
Like that is still true now, even if it was like, didn't seem that way when he was matching up or not matching up against Victor in the, in the Western Conference Finals.
And so I do think about a person a certain way if they start throwing like dragon chat through the mud or a player like Pascal Siakam gets like omitted from all NBA consideration or something like that based on out of sight, out of mind, based on taking his versatility for granted.
I like guys who plug gaps, I think is what I'm getting at.
And sometimes those are not always the scores, but you don't always have to do the sexy stuff to be great.
To hit, I mean, to circle back to Derek White for a second, he's kind of gone maybe like totally around the bend of this conversation where when people start talking crazy about Derek White, I'm like, I kind of know where you're coming from and where you stand.
And we are in similar places, but we're not in the same place.
