Trump's very active foreign policy, whether you agree with it or not, he's he's articulated uh this this increased U.S. matched

presence uh that he wants in the region and is is pursuing it quite aggressively. matched

What we can't tell yet is how is this going to play out in the longer term, because he's he doesn't really talk about um greater democracy, or it's not quite clear if this will uh improve the the economy. matched

enemies uh in in this region as well. matched

It certainly seems to be more US control and involvement, but uh we'll have to see how much pushback we we find from from countries in the region in the years to come. matched

Well, Scott, Trump clearly does not want to go for another major military operation and the peace talks have broken down. matched

So we're sort of stuck in this this fuzzy middle ground and th but there is a pattern here. matched

The US is trying to help these ships, uh oil tankers get out of the Gulf, uh along the Omani coast, the coast opposite Iran, and it does that at night and with limited matched

Communications and uh it it it's working in some cases. matched

But Iran does notice this is happening and it has been attacking some ships. matched

And then when that happens, the U.S. matched

goes after these Iranian launching sites, usually near the coast, when drones or missiles or communications uh towers are involved. matched

So this is the the sequence of events that we see again and again. matched

We saw it. matched

again this week when the Iranians hit uh two ships and the US is fired back uh pretty substantially. matched

And then it may calm down and pick up again. matched

So there is this pattern, but it's not resolving anything. matched

Both sides are just showing they're not going to back off. matched

So until we either get back to negotiations or some sort of full scale uh shooting war again, it doesn't seem like we're we're gonna go very far. matched
