So there's there's two different ways that they could uh cause harm.
One is that they could go off and like hack the data center and uh and and start doing all kinds of different things.
The other one is just like they could be subtly mediocre or even like harmful at that their jobs in a way that's just uh it's like th there's no acute crisis but they're but they're being like chronically unhelpful.

Um how how do we stop them doing doing acute harm?

So this is stuff like that they're trying to hack the the the whole set data center.
I guess at a even a more extreme thing will be they you catch them trying to make a bioweapon or or something or something really radical like that.

And uh I guess I guess the hope is so if you catch them a single time, then that could generate a large response and you could trace back and figure out well, how on earth did we end up at that point?
Like what were the signs that we might have caught earlier?
I guess obviously now you just know that entire class of models is definitely not to be trusted.

Okay, so um the the basic trouble is we we're these AZ AIs are going to be taking so many different actions that it's like not possible to have a human monitoring them all the time.
