There's some wonderful books out there.

I'll share them with you that really talk about in the heat of the moment, why can't you stay disciplined?

And one of my favorite studies they've done, it was a study about risk and how people respond to risk.

And what they did is they hooked up people to an MRI machine and they scanned their brain activity.

And they play black chat.

They played the game with blackjack.

And there was no money online, they were just playing black chat.

And they were, you know, taking people's brain waves and they found out and they saw that all of the activity was in the prefrontal cortex.

Prefrontal cortex is where we use the logic and reason to plan out our decisions.

And then after going with no money, they gave them money.

And they gotta keep the money if they want it.

And then they started playing blackjack again.

And when they looked at their brain scans, it was no longer activity in the prefervil cortex.

It was in the insola and some other areas where that's our fight or flight response.

And the reason why discipline fails.

is because you are not using

That part of your brain.

It's literally, we think we're in control.

We think we have like I'm making the decisions.

You are not making the decisions.
