What was once a thriving and giant manufacturing industry in this country that was uh probably uh grossly out of balance with regard to workers' rights.
And now we are in a situation where those same labor laws are being applied to small business.
And small business cannot cope
with having to defend itself

uh the power of government.
Imagine the IRS kicking in your door and doing random audits of franchising.
Imagine the Labor oh you don't have to imagine.
The Labor Department is coming.
They've already announced
They're uh they're going to be doing random uh uh investigations of franchises on the east coast.
uh I'm sorry, on the west coast of the United States to talk about wage and hour uh issues.
Uh not because they have some empirical study that shows this, but because that's where they think uh they're gonna find wrongdoing.
So, um th those are the things that build this frustration up inside of us.
