And I was listening to an interview which Nick Robinson, the BBC political journalist, had with Morgan McSweeney, who was the chief of staff to Keir Starmer.
The argument there was that the biggest mistake that Keir Starmer, Rachel Reeves, a lot of them made was that
They didn't really have any idea what they were going to do when they got into number 10, when they were given this incredible responsibility to privilege to run our country.
And that there was next to no scrutiny in the general election back in 2024 of what Labour was actually going to do.
Everyone just wanted to get rid of the Tories.
They were sick to death of the lot of them.
It was a by-election on the Tory party and everyone gave Labour the benefit of the doubt.
Isn't it strange that we seem to be doing exactly the same all over again?
