When you say there's a gram of mushrooms and it's the starchy material, that's rice, that's corn, that's all filler that you're paying for that they're selling on a one-to-one basis.
And so I thought like, man, you know, this mycelium has some benefits to it.
What could the difference be?
Is it like five to one mycelium versus fruiting body 10 to one?
My research I found is closer to 500 to one.
And so that is a real challenge from a business perspective to educate an entire market.
And you see two products next to each other on Amazon, and this says 1,000 grams of mushrooms for $20, and our product next to it says 400 grams of mushrooms for $20.
You think, oh, well, 1,000 must be getting more bang for your buck, but that's one five hundredth
the strength of a fruiting body mushroom.
So what we're working on is petitioning the FDA.
It's like, hey, if you want to use mycelium, great.
Just market it as mycelium.
Don't confuse the customer.
Because what I would hate to happen is, similar to CBD, people take these myceliated oats props.
They don't really feel anything from it.
And then they just kind of swear off functional mushrooms altogether.
Fruiting bodies, yeah.
And a lot of these companies won't even disclose it.
If you look maybe on the fine print, you'll see in the ingredients made with myceliated oats.
