Yeah, you have players who played against Arvitas Sabonis when, you know, internationally and from Russia.
And they all talk about how he was big like Yao Ming, but had great footwork and he was a brilliant passer.
And he got to the NBA late.
And I remember first time I met him had to be 1983.
I'm in the CNN sports department, and a member of the Atlanta Hawks was in there and said, hey, we need a camera crew out at the airport.
We have somebody coming in.
And I'm going, okay.
So my boss says, hey, go with the camera crew, and you can go out there, and you're going to be interviewing somebody.
Now, I don't know who I'm interviewing.
So I get out there and all of a sudden I see this seven foot something, you know, 300 pound guy.
And then all of a sudden, like I'm not even doing my homework.
I don't even know who I'm talking to.
And all of a sudden it's Arvita Sabonis that the Hawks, I think, were trying to, I don't want to say sneak him in, but they were trying to bring him in.
But then I'm like, well, I'm going to do an interview with him.
So it was weird.
Who was, gosh, I think he's with the Dodgers now, who ran the Atlanta Hawks and Braves.
Stan, what's his name?
He was front office guy.
Stan Kasten?
Yes, Stan Kasten.
