Um, so Wendy, you you've been extremely generous with your time.
Um, and we've really only scratched the surface of of of what's of what's in your book.
Um, you know, it is a it it really is a tour de force of just putting on the philosophical map a set of questions and concerns that um that uh have uh have been, I think, um, not properly attended to.
and giving us a vocabulary to start attending to it.
Um I wanted to uh ask you to to tell us a little bit about um some of the themes that come up uh later in the book at the the the the book's end, um particularly about um
what you call the descriptive preference principle.
Um and um this is the the the the idea that a an IPR uh preferably would be uh a member of the group that they are called upon to represent.
Can you tell us a little bit about um your uh your analysis of that principle?
That all sounds right to me.
Um, is there also um

Not sure if this comes up in the book.
I think it might have.
Um, so there I guess there are cases, especially in these cases where you have a dominant group and then um many you know deprived, uh uh underprivileged, uh even oppressed uh groups.
Um I take it that um the uh descriptive preference principle might give way in cases where the group in need of informal political representation.
representation is not entirely legible.
To the dominant uh uh groups in society.
And so that the idea of there being a informal, conferred an informal political representative that would be a member of the represented group is is is kind of a non starter because part of the oppression of or the disadvantage of the group is their illegibility or invisibility to the dominant group.
That right?
It's the latter.
