Okay, so now we've set the scene.
It's 1929.
He's at the peak, or has regained the peak again, let's say.
And Livermore is about to short America, basically, and really earn his nickname as the Great Beer of Wall Street.
Now, obviously, we've talked about 1929 several times now.
For those that don't actually know or are that familiar with it, how did it come about?
Well, because this is the big one, right?
The big crash.
Yeah, but first he was bullish, right?
There's this famous quote, he was a bull in a raging bull market.
He piled on, he rode the rally first, right?
Yeah.
I mean, there's this famous quote by George Soros, the hedge fund manager who famously broke the Bank of England, that somebody asked him about bubbles.
And so when I see a bubble, the first thing I do is jump in with both feet.
Buy it.
The clue is, of course, getting out before it collapses.
And that seems to be what Jesse Livermore did.
But he started shorting the market too early, right?
