Well, I've read elsewhere that there seems to be consensus that he was asking uh Livermore to do everybody a favour, but also maybe saying, Look, we're gonna be turning things around, so you might as well get out of the way so your shorts don't get m mulled.

I mean, I read later on that he Livermore told his sons that that was one of the proudest moments of his life when the great JP Morgan himself asked this former farm boy from Massachusetts.

It's for a favour, essentially.

I mean a Titan really.

But it also shows that L Livermore has gone from being kind of this kind of uh the the boy the terrible boy wander of of the bucket shops, the boy plunger, to being a Wall Street speculator or an investor of of renown that Morgan wanted him to cover his shorts so that it would be well known that Jesse Livermore, the great trader, was no longer short the market.

It kind of shows that.

He has arrived on Wall Street as well at that moment.

He's playing at the big table, that is for sure.

So anyway, he is now also fantastically wealthy, uh even by our era and and and for the nineteen oh seven era, you know, generationally I mean obscenely wealthy.

Uh and he starts living the highlight.

Yeah he starts kind of becoming a man about town as well.

He starts hosting parties and things like that, right?

Yeah.

So he's famous, he's wealthy beyond almost measure.

Uh he's glamorous, he's you know, he's arrived on Wall Street.

But of course, you know, spoiler alert, we have done a fair bit of foreshadowing already, but things don't work out for Jesse Livermore.

He suffers multiple times, and how he eventually loses it all, and the whole story ends in tragedy.
