That kind of I mean, I d we should be careful about playing hobby psychologists here, but sort of almost a manic depressive approach uh to life where he has very high highs and very low lows and the money, like you say, that's almost incidental and and sad tragically, uh two of his three sons ended up committing suicide.

But what is it about Jesse Livermore that therefore commands such attention still to this day?
I mean, like you say, there have been other people that have made fortunes uh from shorting the market or in the markets, maybe maybe made several fortunes, but I suspect we won't be talking about them in a hundred years' time.

You know, command such attention.
Yeah.
That I think helps transcend uh you know this just being a a book about a trader essentially.
And I I do I agree that the lesson should be that you know everybody should talk to journalists more.
I think that's a great life.
If you want to live forever, talk to journalists.
But I I'm curious, do you think Jesse Livermore would do well today?
There are very few people, hardly any, that sustain investing
brilliance over a long period of time because regimes come and go, they change, the market changes, and then they kind of end up maybe not poor and broke, uh, but you know, they they end in failure.

This is kind of pattern recognition probably.

That we then ascribe some sort of mystical ability.
