Okay, but here's something interesting about that, and that troubles me too as an American who believes in academic freedom.
What I came to understand when I was there is Hungary is a nation of 10 million people, very small.
What George Soros wanted to do and tried to do was establish a university that would be the training ground for the new Hungarian elite in Soros' internationalist ideas, pro-migration, social liberalism, etc., etc.,
Viktor Orban regarded this as an assault on Hungary's sovereignty, even though Soros was born in Hungary.
And I don't like what Orban did with CEU, which, by the way, the oldest of your son just graduated from CEU in Vienna.
I'm very proud of him.

In Hungary, if the elites are all educated at the same place, according to the same ideology, I can understand why he did it.
Well, Ross, I mean, the term authoritarian is heavily loaded.
Viktor Orban governed with great authority.
He was the man.
At the same time, when you compare him to the countries in Western Europe...
where it's more systematic, the authority, than personal, as in Orban's Hungary.
You know, I don't see a heck of a lot of difference, to be honest.
And we have to remember, Orban won four elections.
