As my father said, never take a step back.

Just step back into the situation.

And wherever you want to be, you will end up being that.

And it's the journey along the way that's the enjoyment.

Some people want to end up as a millionaire, a doctor, whatever.

The journey along the way will be more enjoyable and more rewarding than the actual arrival to where you want to get to.

Absolutely.

That's most important for anything, whether it's in sport, if you want to achieve in sport, if you want to achieve in any walk of life, you've got to have the basic fundamentals of decency, integrity, punctuality, understanding, empathy.

They can't teach you all these things in school.

This is not the curriculum.

But that's what you've got to be.

And that's what gets you through life.

And my daughter, who's a schoolteacher in Ballymun, funny enough, she knows Philly well, she'd done a degree in science and biology, didn't know what she wanted to do.

And her cousin was a teacher, asked her to come in and fill in for a few hours.

She'd come home, I want to be a teacher.

So, you know,

As Mary says, you'll find your pathway.

But as a man said to me once when I was a kid starting off, he said, Rod, if you have a bit of personality, he says, a bit of understanding, he said, a hard work ethic, he says, you can be anything you want.

And I like being in a lot of teams, plastered by trade, you know, footballer by trade, manager by profession, manager by profession.

So, yeah, look, that's my advice to all the kids out there.
