the mine.
W what he did say is that he he thinks that uh forward guidance sometimes can be helpful, sometimes not.
It can be problematic uh when you know you have these sort of uncertainties and there's more than one scenario that can play out, which is kind of what um has been happening recently.
But but in other instances he he favours the idea.
So I think it would be interesting
It's interesting to see how much Walsh's um sort of um desire for no forward guidance will will be seen by others.
Uh but certainly I think it's a fair point to make that sometimes it's helpful and sometimes it isn't.
Um well our sense is that intervention risk is still elevated.
Uh it's not linked to a specific level of dollar yen.
It's more linked to to the price action itself.
Um so basically if you see an acceleration of weakness in the yen, um that that is very likely to instigate um intervention.
Uh from the other side it's also important to remember um that from a
fundamental basis there are reasons why the yen is weakening.
Um, you know, inflation is elevated and we have a central bank that whilst committed verbally to um bringing inflation down, they have had inflation at an elevated levels for many years now.
Um and their policy is still ultra easy.
You know their real yields are super, super negative.
We all year.
Um and this process of um
normalization is proven to be pace painstakingly slow.
So um unless those those fundamental drivers change, then Yen weakness will be the case.
