That you know, that um
That uh trade finance marketplaces
Like you know, twenty five, thirty trillion dollars in size.
Imagine if trade finance becomes on chain and a number of different investors, not just the banks, but they can be in charge of originating
What we learned from the global financial crisis, they're gonna still have to have skin in the game in some way, shape or form if they're processing
cash and transaction.
But if they begin to distribute a number of these different products, trade finance just being one of them.
That's a lot of new capital market investment opportunities that begin to fall fall right into the camp of investors to be able to participate in.
And banks have used these these marketplaces exclusively to make lots of profits um over the years.
And so I think that's I think taking stuff off of banks' balance sheets.
And putting them in in tokenized forms and w is one of those things that I speak about that expands the opportunity sets for customers um in the long term that give them better opportunities and chances to achieve their long term goals.
I think that's a pr I think that's a prime example of how we will see over the next five to ten years blockchain being introduced into the banking system and the loan origination business in order to ultimately
allow those loans to be shared across a much wider uh investor base.
Heretofore a lot of what banks would have done would have been able to take
those loans and packaged them into a securitization and then sold the securitizations into the marketplace.
Um but again, that's a money making venture for the banks because they buy the loans for a hundred dollars, they sell them for a hundred and three dollars and then make three dollars um on the spread of the securitization.
But I think these are some of the possibilities that begin to unpack by this permutation of blockchain moving not just into the, you know, across asset managers and other investment banks, but actually commercial banks as well.
Absolutely they are.
Um but
Blockchain is very disintermediating, right?
